GATEC Story

Global Alliance of Tegaru Evangelical Christians (GATEC), is an umbrella non-profit organization established (2020) by evangelical Christians of Tigray origin, residing in different countries across the globe. Our story began in November 2020, when the Tigray war started. The war brought death, suffering and displacement to millions in Tigray. In the midst of the war, a situation emerged where it is neccesary to meet the pressing needs of evangelical Christians from Tigray, who found themselves without support communities and networks. GATEC is born to meet the spiritual as well as material needs of Tigrayans who are going through the most difficult time in modern times.
